I have been watching "Dancing with the Stars" since its inception a few years ago. On every show they refer to the competition for the "Mirabald" trophy. Unfamiliar with ballroom dancing stars, I assumed the award was named for someone who had distinguished him or herself in dance. Imagine my surprise when today I was reading about the finale online. The "Mirabald" trophy is actually something called a mirrored ball trophy--reference being to the mirrored ball adorning the top of it!
